VITA

Khaled Jarrar was born in Jenin. He completed his studies in Interior design at the Palestine Polytechnic University in 1996, and then entered the field of photography in 2004. His first exhibition took place in public space at the checkpoints of Howarra and Qalandya. In 2011, he graduated in visual arts from the International Academy of Art Palestine.

Jarrar works with photography, video and performance. In his latest work “Live and work in Palestine”, he uses an inofficial Palestinian stamp for official passports

Jarrar started making films and videos in 2008, among them the successful video “Journey 110”. He took part in international art events such as Art 41 Basel, Instant video, London Film Festival, “FIAC International Contemporary Art Fair” in Paris. Current there is a collaborations with the Berlin Biennale. For more informations about his performance at the Checkpoint Charly in Berlin at 17 and 19 July, 2011, as well presented at the 7.
